Faith-based institutions often struggle to assess fulfillment of distinctive objectives and student spiritual formation. This session introduces a methodology and instrument to assess those objectives. The speakers will present a case study, using the REVEAL University Spiritual Life Survey to assess faith objectives and inform a continuous quality improvement process.

Issues to be Addressed:

This session will address valid and reliable means of assessing student spiritual formation from a Christian perspective and will demonstrate how data from the REVEAL University Spiritual Life Survey can be used to inform data-driven decision-making, improve co-curricular programs, create norms and benchmarks for distinctive objectives, and facilitate improved student outcomes.

Expected Learning Outcomes:

Participants will become familiar with the REVEAL University Spiritual Life Survey and will learn how the survey has helped a midwestern faith-based institution to understand the university's role in student spiritual formation and accomplish the university's distinctive objectives.
